Privacy Policy: $WRTH Acquisition Portal

Operator: Weritas Council Limited (British Virgin Islands). At weritastoken.io, we prioritize the digital sovereignty and privacy of our participants. This Privacy Policy governs how the Council ("we", "us", or "our") handles data during the acquisition of $WRTH Protocol Credits. By using this portal, you agree to the data practices described herein.

1. Our Privacy Philosophy: "Data Minimalism"

We operate on a "Privacy by Architecture" model. We do not seek to own your data; we seek to verify your eligibility. We leverage decentralized infrastructure to ensure we collect only the absolute minimum information required for regulatory compliance and protocol security.

2. Information We Collect

  • Public Wallet Addresses: When you connect your wallet (e.g., MetaMask, WERI Wallet), we view your public address to facilitate transactions.
  • Transaction Metadata: Details of your acquisition, including the amount of $WRTH acquired and the timestamps of the smart contract interactions.
  • KYC/AML Data: Depending on the tier of your acquisition, we may require identity verification via a third-party provider. This may include your name, residency, and government-issued identification.
  • Institutional Inquiry Data: If you use our contact forms, we collect your professional email and name to respond to your request.

3. Information We Do Not Collect

  • Private Keys: We never have access to your seed phrases, private keys, or passwords.
  • Browser Fingerprinting: We do not track your activity across other websites or build "shadow profiles" for advertising.
  • Raw Financial Data: We do not store your bank account numbers or credit card details.

4. Use of Data

  • Protocol Provisioning: Delivering $WRTH credits to your designated wallet address.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring we meet Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter-Terrorist Financing (CTF) obligations in the British Virgin Islands.
  • Ecosystem Security: Detecting and preventing governance attacks or fraudulent activity within the DAO.

5. Data Storage & Self-Custody

In accordance with Web5 standards, your primary identity data remains in your Decentralized Web Node (DWN). The Council acts as an "Issuer" of credentials (your $WRTH balance), not a custodian of your personal identity. Retention of KYC/AML data is limited to what is legally required (typically five to seven years for financial and compliance records).

6. Third-Party Service Providers

  • KYC Providers: Secure, audited third parties verify your eligibility without sharing your full PII with the Council.
  • Blockchain Explorers: Transactions are publicly recorded on the BNB Smart Chain; these records are immutable and permanent.
  • Infrastructure Partners: Secure hosting providers (e.g., AWS, Cloudflare) maintain our web interface.

7. Jurisdictional & VPN Notice

We use Geo-IP detection to ensure compliance with jurisdictional restrictions. While we respect privacy, using VPNs to bypass restricted-region locks (including the US and Canada) is a material violation of our Terms of Use and may result in suspension of your acquisition process.

8. Your Rights & Access

  • Request Access: View any personal data we hold regarding your professional inquiries.
  • Correct Records: Update any contact information you have shared with us.
  • Delete History: Request the deletion of your inquiry data (Note: Blockchain records and mandatory compliance data cannot be deleted).

9. Security

We employ industry-standard encryption and secure socket layers (SSL). However, you are ultimately responsible for the security of your own private keys and digital assets.
